About Us

This campground was designed in honor and loving memory of my Native American, Chickasaw wife, Shirley Whitfield or "Dancing Wildflower" who passed away unexpectedly soon after the flood of Hurricane Matthew in late 2016. It was her dream (and mine) that this river acreage would be used as a teaching tool to encourage people to enjoy and appreciate God's creation and to let folks enjoy the simpler life, closely connected to the natural world God designed.

Everyone  is welcome! Individuals, couples, families, church groups, and scouts, will enjoy the river and campground. Being a Navy Veteran (rescue & salvage) I (Skip) send a sincere invitation to all Veterans and first responders, especially the disabled. Ya'll come!!!
